The Law Commission’s review regarding the law relating to Wills is due to be completed and published in Spring 2017. The Law commission will look into concerns that the law in this area, particularly in relation to testamentary capacity, the formalities for a valid will, the rectification of wills and mutual wills, is archaic and outdated. This may well lead to people challenging or disputing wills, inheritance disputes, Inheritance Act or contentious probate claims. Any simplification in this area of law would be gratefully received.
